Komatsu supports a myriad of markets, including housing, infrastructure, water, pipeline, minerals, automobile, aerospace, electronics and medical, through its many brands and subsidiaries, including TimberPro, Joy, P&H, Montabert, Modular Mining Systems, Hensley Industries, NTC, and Gigaphoton.Job Overview+ Places orders to cover requirements for rebuilds, CEP and OE equipment based on review of requirements and forward planning+ Schedules order need dates and monitors the requirements in order to reschedule or cancel orders based on customer requirements and demand+ Expediates and follows up on parts shortages with vendors or internal suppliers+ Interfaces with other departments on vendor problems, new parts or new product lines to achieve maximum efficiency+ Reviews and monitors parts info record files and reports for accuracy. Reconciles errors and discrepancies between accounting and Supply Chain records+ Assists team as required to RFQ process including pulling drawing packages together and completing RFQ form and input of quote data+ Manufacturing work flow is scheduled to maximize utilization of labor, equipment, and material.+ Departmental files, records, and paperwork is processed for Production Control, Shipping & Receiving and Quality Assurance.+ Customer orders are shipped on or before requested dateKey Job Responsibilities+ Maintain good communications with vendors and internal suppliers+ Reporting – rework report, QM lot report, daily reporting, aged WIP, cycle counts and weekly shortage report.+ Responsible for monitoring parts levels, forecasting needs and expediting parts+ Measure and ensure SAP systems data integrity and accuracy+ Creating purchase orders for outsourced operations+ Releasing, assembling, picking, reconciliation, and prioritizing of production orders for the facility. Includes blueprints, shop routings, Kanban, and specifications+ Receiving and reconciliation of purchase orders (raw material, facility, outside processing). Enter purchasing receiving information into SAP system. Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.+ Creation of outside processor purchase orders and communications with those outside processors regarding status updates, delivery confirmations, and any issues that may occur. Maintain and update accurate outside processing control system and vendors outbound/inbound bills of lading and manifests+ Maintain material inventory records from receipt to stock, from stock to Production orders, and from stock to shipment. Closing of production orders, performing the pick ticket process and prioritizing the packaging of ordersQualifications/Requirements+ Minimum 2 years post-secondary higher education or equivalent job experience+ Experience with MRP systems+ Skills and experience with Microsoft Office – excel, ppt.+ Recommended experience with an integrated business system+ Knowledge of Purchasing and Shipping & Receiving are beneficial+ Working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques is preferred+ Desired experience with supporting a manufacturing environmentAdditional InformationKomatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
