We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Contract Internal Communications Manager to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of remote work.As an Internal Communications Manager at Viasat, you'll get to be part of an exceptional team committed to connecting people and making a difference in the world. In this position, you'll have a vital role in educating, engaging, and informing Viasat employees through internal communications initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with leaders and professionals across the organization to identify communication requirements and create strategic plans that support Viasat's objectives.The day-to-day
Lead and develop effective internal communications programs that align with Viasat's priorities, ensuring all employees are well-informed about the company's goals and engagement activities.Translate complex and technical data into clear and compelling communications that can be easily understood by all employees.Collaborate with departments across the organization to identify communications gaps and opportunities.Ensure company-wide initiatives are successfully communicated to employees in a timely and relevant manner, especially during times of change.Assess executive communication strategies and propose and manage opportunities for improvement.Foster effective relationships throughout the organization to encourage collaboration and facilitate positive transformation.Align activities with the external communications team to ensure a cohesive and consistent message.Manage the SharePoint intranet and other internal communications channels to ensure effective communication and engagement.
What you'll need
6+ years of internal communications and change management experience, with a proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Psychology, or equivalent experience.A strategic and creative approach, with the ability to generate fresh ideas and plans and effectively put them into action.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to tailor messages to multiple audiences.Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs.Proficiency in SharePoint, MS Office Suite, and Canva.The ability to provide writing samples and examples of previous successful internal communications campaigns.

Salary range
$104,300.00 - $181,300.00 / annually

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
