About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled UX Designer to join our team for a long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the financial industry, particularly within investment banking, and will be responsible for designing, customizing, and maintaining high-quality user experiences for our financial applications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a user-centric mindset, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and seamless designs.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive user research to understand the needs, pain points, and behaviors of users within the financial and investment banking sectors.Analyze user feedback, conduct usability tests, and iterate on designs to improve the user experience.Design and develop user interfaces for investment banking applications, ensuring they are user-friendly, intuitive, and align with business objectives.Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with technical and business requirements.
Customization & Maintenance:
Customize existing applications to enhance functionality and improve user satisfaction.Maintain and update design systems, ensuring consistency across all applications and platforms.Provide ongoing support for UX/UI design enhancements and ensure that the applications evolve with the changing needs of the business and users.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and QA, to ensure successful implementation of designs.Communicate design decisions clearly to stakeholders, providing rationale for choices and articulating the impact on the user experience.Mentor and provide guidance to junior UX designers, sharing best practices and ensuring high standards of design quality.
Required Skills & Experience:
years of professional experience in UX design, with a strong focus on the financial industry, particularly investment banking.Proven experience in designing, customizing, and maintaining investment banking applications, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and other relevant software. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.Deep understanding of financial products, trading platforms, and the regulatory environment within investment banking.Ability to conduct user research, analyze data, and make informed design decisions that enhance user experience.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an Agile environment.Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices in UX design.Previous experience leading UX design projects within large financial institutions.
