Job Summary:

rag & bone is currently looking for a Technical Designer with strong experience in Men's wovens (tops and bottoms). Our ideal candidate will be a strong partner to design, as well as PD/Production, and be able to create technical sketches, independently manage calendar, fittings, taking and passing off concise fit notes, as well as manage daily factory communication. The right candidate should not only be able to, but also enjoy, working in a highly creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:Partner with Design and Product Development on all new development styles from initial pass-off through production 1st proto through to production stageMonitor progress of released tech packs and follow up with factories on completion of protos and mock-upsOrganize Development & Production fittings. Prepare list of garments to fit and update fit status to PD partners regularly. Proactively track domestic packages and estimate fit dates based on expected package arrival. Follow-up with domestic QC partners on anticipated PPs and TOPs.Prepare garments and paperwork for fittings: evaluate all sample rounds against previous comments, check measurements, and identify materials (actual vs. substitute). Be familiar with history of the garments and able to speak to it in fittingPartner with Design to fit & approve garments (all stages) in timely manner according with the CalendarWork with PD partners and factories on identifying and resolving construction and workmanship issuesCommunicate daily with domestic and overseas factories to all inquiries and requests via e-mail or through verbal communicationAssist in preparation for any shows and Showroom/Market openingsRecord and follow-up on revisions prior and post Showroom openings, record comments in Line review chart and overseas factoriesFollow-up on open issues from all CF MeetingsEnsure size & fit consistency across styles/seasonsRequirements:

3-5 years experience with men's wovensIn depth knowledge of high-end Construction TechniquesStrong Cross functional Communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage overlapping seasons and timelines and set priorities accordinglyStrong computer skills (MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)

Annual Salary Pay Range

$85,000-$90,000 USD
