Position Overview:

As a Model Home Designer, your role focuses on crafting appealing design concepts and putting together full interior packages with furniture, rugs, accents, artwork, and more. You'll work closely with our Residential Design Team to ensure every detail is perfect and brought to life with 3D videos. You'll also manage the project from start to finish, coordinating with the building company to ensure smooth installation and making sure each model home is a standout display of style and quality.

Responsibilities:**Interior Design of an AR Builders Model Home from Concept through InstallationDirects and oversees the Associate Designer who is responsible for the Model Home documentation and ordering processAnalyzes the best Interior Design following precise concept notes and budget requirementsHelp establish best practices and efficiencies within the Interiors DepartmentResponsible to follow a Model Home budget, track expenses and keep jobs within budgetIncrease productivity in the Model Home Department through procedural changes which will streamline the work processRaise the bar of quality and consistency among the models so that ARH will be a leader in model home designSeek out Products, materials, finishes and furnishings which will enable the AR models to have new and innovative looksHelp Plan Product Training and set up Local Model Home tours 2X year for the team.Help Plan, organize and attend High Point Market up to 1x year within budget.Qualifications:

Ability to manage 6-8 Model Home projects/4-6 Model Home installations per year, and delegate/manage workflow to associate designersStrong knowledge of new Interior Design and Model Home trends in our Custom Homebuilding industryProficient in using ARH systems and ARIS softwareAbility to research and learn new software to help our team stay on top of our industryAbility to plan travel to job site locations within budgetEducation and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in interior design or similar field, or equivalent work experience with 5 years plus of Model Home Design experienceNCIDQ certifiedPhysical Requirements:

Able to sit at a design table or computer for prolonged periods of timeAbility to stay focused, on task with Model home projects and meet deadlinesAbility to lift 15 lbs.Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel to model home job sites throughout the United States 1 or 2 times per month. Up to 24 trips per year.Benefits:
