Job Duties:Produce guest research and write questions for “Meet the Press” moderatorManage editing for the broadcast, acting as a liaison between editors, producers, show leaders and the control room and ensuring all show tape is delivered on time and in broadcast styleGenerate and pitch show ideas and program guestsField produce remote interviews, organizing crews and production elementsWork with editors to cut long-form interviews, including Meet the Moment interviews, field interviews and day-of-air pre-tapesEdit show Open as needed and pitch sound elementsWork with show leaders and Affiliate Marketing to promote the broadcast with early release bites and promosGenerate booking ideas and assist in booking logisticsWrite compelling scripts for segment intros and teasesProduce content for show website and social media platformsOversee production and release of digital video elementsWork closely with Executive Producer, Moderator, and Senior Broadcast ProducerEffectively collaborate with show staffQualifications

At least 5 years of show production experience for a network or cable news operationBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceMust be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule and evenings and holidays as requiredWilling to work in Washington, D.C.Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesDesired Characteristics:Strong news judgment and editorial skillsExtensive knowledge of and demonstrated passion for politics and public policyExcellent writing and research skillsStrong edit producing skills and demonstrated experienceCreative, independent thinking skillsExperience as a remote producer under deadline pressureExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal & communication skillsAdditional Requirements:Hybrid:

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
