In this role, you will be a key team member, involved in the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies to drive critical business growth.As a Senior Marketing Manager, Category Marketing, you will be responsible for establishing marketing plans that drive traffic and accelerate growth for the Haircare category. Reporting to the Director, Category Marketing, you will partner cross-functionally and with brand partners to optimize go to market strategies. You will be accountable for delivering strong, results-driving strategy, messaging and activation across omnichannel marketing efforts. The Senior Manager, Category Marketing, will manage one direct report.The ideal candidate will have a brand marketing background, be detail oriented, proficient at critical thinking and collaborating, all while possessing a passion for beauty and an aptitude for retail.CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead the development and execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns and initiatives including brief development, messaging approach and go-to-market plans for the Hair category.Serve as the go-to marketing contact for Ulta Beauty Hair category merchants while leading campaigns that deliver against business objectives.Build reciprocal partnerships cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization: merchandising, customer growth marketing, consumer insights, media, creative, and other key stakeholders to ensure execution of marketing plans/strategies is data driven, clear and cohesive.Analyze performance and learnings from previous campaigns to inform future strategies and execution.Collaborate with peers to manage brand production budget; coordinate with paid media and social budget owners to ensure cohesive planning process and view.Maintain knowledge of key retail and industry happenings, consumer and cultural insights, internal operation processes and competitive landscape.Cultivate a collaborate work environment. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure coordination and cohesive strategies, while still empowering individual teams’ spaces.Be a thought leader; motivate, inspire, and mentor your direct report.THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS8+ years brand marketing experience; consumer facing marketing experience preferred.Demonstrated success leading 360 integrated campaigns across the consumer marketing funnel that delivered measurable business results.A big picture strategic thinker with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into marketing strategies, as well as an organized "doer," with a data-driven mentality and a bias towards action.Strong experience managing through ambiguity to shape, elevate and move planning forward.Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas.Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a highly cross-functional team; ability to lead through influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders.Demonstrated creativity and creative management, including collaborating with a creative team and/or agency partners.Honed communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal; confidence in presenting point of view in multiple forums, including leadership level.Exceptional organizational and time management skills; proven ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.Passion for business/the work and a lifelong learner.Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related fields; MBA or MA preferred.Travel may be required (
