Our client is seeking a dynamic and innovative Lead UX Designer to join their team. This role is perfect for a self-directed individual who thrives in owning significant product areas and key features independently. You will focus on conceptualization, research, design, testing, and production, often handling areas of moderate complexity or standalone products.12+ month contract with potential for extension or conversionNYC - Hybrid 3 days onsite$60.00-$67.00/hourKey Responsibilities:- Inform the creation of new experience strategy at the intersection of user needs and business goals for specific products- Actively participate in discussions for product vision, roadmap, and requirements with leadership- Diagram the overarching structure of omnichannel experience- Operate independently with a small team to deliver end-to-end experiences- Review feedback from research and discuss implications for iterations- Lead efforts for product-specific experience visions, and contribute to broader visions that make strategy concrete- Prepare and partner with design associates for presenting their work to others- Present work to cross-functional executives and other leadersPreferred Qualifications:- Proven track record of delivering successful shipped products- Portfolio demonstrating expertise in Interaction Design, with advanced capabilities in additional skills such as Visual Design, Information Architecture, Service Design, etc.- Deep familiarity with user-centered design practices- Advanced strategic practices and understanding- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product and Technical leads- Comfortable presenting work to leadership and operating with independence-Experience designing for mobile/iOs-Experience in eCommerce, fashion, travel, hospitality industries is a plusOur client's team values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued.
