Enterprise Front End Web Developer III

Position Function:
This position will work as a team member in Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) at Mississippi State University. The Enterprise Front-End Web Developer supports the University community by developing, coordinating, and managing enterprise web sites, applications, and data by providing critical information services to our clients.
Salary Grade
: 16

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead technical projects by developing project plans including scope, deliverables, and milestones and providing status updates to managers.• Design and develop templates, themes, and code libraries that extend and enhance the EIS web environment.• Train end users or technical support staff to use a wide variety of Enterprise Applications.• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members.• Design and develop web sites and web applications for projects of all sizes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design or related field.• Four years of relevant work experience.• Demonstrated experience in full system lifecycle development including requirements gathering, systems analysis, systems development, programming, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of large enterprise systems• Ability to analyze and develop touchpoints between enterprise applications and ancillary applications, developing an understanding of web services, APIs, and other integration technologies.• Significant customer service experience
Any equivalent combination of related education and related experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Four years' experience working with Drupal systems• Four years' experience working in web design/development systems in the higher education environment.• Experience in full stack development using languages and frameworks such as Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, PHP, and MySQL
