About the Role:
Were on the hunt for a motivated
Mechanical Designer
to join the hive on behalf of our client. In this role, you'll develop and manage detailed mechanical designs and drawings, contributing to various projects in a dynamic and technically diverse environment. If you're passionate about mechanical design and have a knack for 3D modeling, we want to meet you!
Your Mission:
Maintain and adhere to drawing and design standards based on current Mechanical Department guidelinesDevelop detailed designs and ensure they meet company standardsNotify project managers and leads about scope changesCheck and revise detail drawings for accuracy and completenessDevelop piping layouts and schematics as directed by lead engineersAssemble information for drawing production and coordinate with structural engineers and other mechanical designersOversee the filing of production drawings and develop issue foldersRecord meetings and phone conversations for accurate documentationReview drawings from other disciplines for mechanical requirements and resolve discrepancies
What You Bring:
Associate degree or relevant technical degree2 to 5 years of experience in 3D design modelingStrong problem-solving and communication skillsExperience with engineering sketches, calculations, general arrangements, and plant layout drawingsProficiency with Revit preferred; SolidWorks or Inventor + other 3D software acceptable
Additional Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States.Must be at least 18 years of age.
Bonus Points For:
Advanced knowledge of Revit and its applicationsExperience with multiple 3D design softwareStrong organizational skills for managing drawing documentation
