Chanhassen Dinner Theatres(CDT) has been in business for over 45 years. The CDT building houses four stages showcasing different forms of art, with our concerts, comedy, live local music, Pub, events, and live theatre there is always something new to showcase and learn.

General Description:

The Social Media and Digital Marketing Strategist is a full-time, permanent, exempt position. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ presence across social media and digital channels; including on the internet, and other electronic formats. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

Create & Maintain Social Media Presence

Strategize on posts for Social Media channelsUpdate and Maintain Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, etc.Stay current on trends in social mediaAttend local meetings / trainings for social media

Produce Content for Digital Channels

Assist PR Director with all taping and editing of video footage for PR, social, YouTube, and website useCoordinate with actors, staff, and others to assist in creating contentTake photos, record video, record audio for contentAssist in strategy around content creation

Coordinate Paid Social Media Advertising

Implement paid advertising strategies across social media channelsMonitor and maintain paid advertising campaignsProvide regular reporting on KPIs

Create and maintain digital assetsProvide in-house creative services, when neededOther duties as assignedQualifications:Experience in writing is a strong plusExperience in filming and editing videoExperience in social media is a strong plusAdditional Skills Needed: Ability to produce and edit clear, concise and grammatically correct contentAbility to interview stakeholders and customers to develop contentBe highly creative and imaginativeGood verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Works well in a team; Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively; Detail oriented and organized; Comfortable accepting constructive criticism and making changes when needed; Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to pick-up new technology as needed.Ability to learn marketing methodology

Education and Experience:

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or formal education in Marketing, English, Communications or a related field Or a high school diploma/GED and 2 years of proven social media and content creation experienceDiversity Commitment:
