Overview

PLEASE NOTE:

This position is a remote position, however, a primary residence in California is required prior to starting at CHLA. All applicants that reside outside of California must be willing to relocate.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

Children's Hospital Los Angeles maintains a best-in-class Marketing and Communications department that oversees all content, creative and marketing efforts on behalf of the institution in concert with agency and vendor partners. Children's Hospital Los Angeles is looking for an experienced marketing manager to be responsible for development, implementation and execution of strategic marketing plans for the organization's service lines and destination programs. The individual will work to develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on strategic marketing tactics. This individual will assess requests for marketing for viability, work with subject matter experts and leadership to develop marketing plans and campaigns for approval, lead strategic kick off meetings, oversee execution and determine key performance indicators to measure the viability of CHLA's marketing efforts. The candidate will work with Executive Director of Strategic Marketing to forecast budgets and report on results.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:• 8+ years in marketing• 3+ years in health care marketing or related field• Windows, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, WebDAM, Workfront• Stellar communication, presentation, problem solving, and project-management skills• Experience in development of integrated marketing plans• Strong understanding of business objectives• Understanding of design, copy, and traditional/digital/web best practices• Proficient in long and short-term planning, and ability to thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines• Demonstrate a growing ability to analyze problems, anticipate consequences and eliminate obstacles to successfully complete projects • Familiarity with marketing tools such as Marketo, Hubspot, Salesforce a plus • Knowledge of Workfront and Agile methodology a plus.• Expertise in health care marketing preferred Must be able to demonstrate:• Proven experience in writing and executing strategic marketing plans for key business units/service lines• Ability to identify target audiences (B2B, B2C) and customer journey • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels that engage, educate and motivate action• Experience in customer relationship management and marketing automation tools • Knowledge of digital and direct response/call to action marketing • Ability to think creatively and innovatively• Ability to manage marketing campaigns within budget• Ability to forecast and identify trends and challenges• Familiarity with the latest trends, martech solutions and methodologies• Solid knowledge of marketing metrics and processing metrics for reporting• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends) and optimization of Google Adwords campaigns, A/B testing and development of direct response efforts as discrete from branding efforts• Strong analytical and project management skills • Extraordinary communication skills• Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking• Ability to travel locally as necessary and organize promotional events in support of the brand• Healthcare and agency experience a plus

Education/Licensure/Certification:

BA/BS in Marketing or other related field.

Pay Scale Information

USD $80,288.00 - USD $144,518.40

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
