Major/Essential Functions

Creates, develops, and designs promotional materials for print, web, and social media for International AffairsPosters, flyers, booklets, postcards, invitationsCreate monthly newsletters and annual reports for internal and external audiencesCreate multimedia content for a variety of media platformsEnsure all International Affairs promotional materials adhere to new Texas Tech branding guidelinesAssumes photography duties for International Affairs' unit events upon requestManages International Affairs social media accounts, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to promote International Affairs events, engage with Texas Tech entities to share or re-share internationally themed content and University initiativesCollaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, on all aspects of projects, including planning, content, production level and platforms, turnaround time, corrections, approvals and project estimatesPerform general website content updates

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications

Graphic Design experience, using InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative CloudKnowledge about developing and implementing communication and marketing plansExperience creating multimedia content for a variety of media platformsExperience updating websites using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
