Position Description

Responsibilities:

A company's success is only as strong as its culture. The Internal Communications Manager will help ensure the STOBG community is plugged into that culture by helping strategize, coordinate, and contribute to internal communications initiatives.

This position is responsible for developing communications strategies and ensuring execution of communications platforms at the STOBG level, including assisting with message development and positioning, identifying appropriate means of communication, and coordinating with Functional Partner Group (FPG) teams to support their communication needs.

The following responsibilities can be expected:Work closely with FPG leaders-HR, IT, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Safety, etc.-to define objectives, messages, cascade of information, and measurement of programs.Plan and strategize the company's internal 360° campaigns (Learning 360, Client 360) throughout the calendar year, collaborating with internal clients to ensure buy-in, clear approvals, and timely execution. Will also support the internal components of the external campaigns led by other members of the team (Safety 360, Innovation 360).Collaborate with other internal and external communication team members to drive other tailored and consistent employee communication messaging.Collaborate with IT, HR, and Operations to identify strategies for reaching employees in the field.Manage, draft, and edit internal communications materials.Manage the content creation of the company's social responsibility report.Establish effective best practices in employee communications that can be leveraged across the internal communications function.Contribute to the overall internal communication strategy with innovative solutions to key issues currently facing businesses that will help to drive employee engagement.Drive increased morale and engagement from new employees and help to position STOBG and our family of builders as an employer of choice.Develop an external employer of choice brand and messaging to support recruitment.Work with HR to develop an employee engagement plan focused on our overarching business objectives equipped with internal communications and community affairs activities.Qualifications:

Education/Experience

Post-secondary degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or related fieldMinimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in professional communicationsOther Requirements

Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, including a solid grasp of appropriate grammar, style, and tone for employee engagement communications.Experience/knowledge in digital strategies and data analysis to support communications goals.In-depth knowledge of effective communications strategies, including storytelling, video components, smart brevity, etc.Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities; can work comfortably with a variety of positions at every employee level.Able to identify campaign goals and successfully communicate with FPG and executive leaders, as well as Marcom team members, to design and execute campaigns.Able to effectively balance priorities and multi-task.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe programs, and able to learn how to use and manage communications tools such as mass email programs and our intranet platform.
