Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Designer to ensure that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects the brand's esthetics and design integrity. As a member of the Technical Design team, you will conduct fit sessions, communicate fit session to vendors to ensure accuracy of garment measurements, fit, construction details and flow of information while addressing any technical challenges during the development and production process.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESManage product life cycle from sketch through production fit approval.Oversee initial sample specifications from Design sketch.Responsible for detail fit corrections which includes sketches of pattern corrections, digital images, full grade specification, and written comments.Establish close partnership with Design team to facilitate the interpretation of Design concepts to maintain design integrity and ensure fit and function of the product.Schedule, prepare for, and conduct fittings on LIVE Fit Models to evaluate and refine fit, construction, and quality.Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the fit process remains aligned with production timelines and objectives.Assign appropriate grading to all points of measure and provide grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval, ensure that grading is executed accurately to preserve the integrity of the design and fit across all sizes.Review sample against Tech Pack and BOM before fitting.Conduct wear test and review wear test result with teams to determine next step.Measure Fit models bi-weekly.Adheres to department timelines and T&A.Team minded mentality, keep clear communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functioning teams.Conduct competitive analysis research.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Five or more years of Technical Design and/or Patternmaking experience.College degree, or equivalent professional work experience, required.Strong knowledge of grading, garment construction, sewing, measuring and fitting.Knowledge of pattern making is a plus.SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS:

Proficient in PLM, Illustrator, ExcelTeam player, problem solver with passion for product, organized and detail oriented.Ability to work independently and work to meet deadlinesLive fit model experience, requiredConfident, engaging verbal and written communication skills
