ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an Expeditor / Planner for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO) located in Cullman, AL, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for collaborating with different teams such as project management, production, and purchasing to facilitate operations, materials movement, inventory control, record keeping, and scheduling. At General Dynamics Mission Systems we manufacture Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and are hardened for the battlefield environment.

Representative duties and tasks:

Meet daily/weekly or as required with the Production team to ensure that expedited product is processed efficiently and is delivered on timeAids Materials Manager/Master Scheduler with schedule and capacity planningInterface with Supply Chain and outside vendors to ensure timely processing of product outside of the facilityEnsure that all items going to coater receive proper purchase orders with adequate priority attached prior to sendEnsure that each manufacturing area is working the correct product to achieve all necessary gates required from shipment to coater/customerPerform daily stand-up meetings to ensure employees get out the right product mix per day in both areas to achieve the weekly schedule

Target salary range: USD $74,240.00/Yr. - USD $80,330.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
