Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager of Communications to support our firm’s communications strategy, ensuring effective and consistent messaging across all platforms.

Job Summary:

As the Assistant Manager of Communications, you will play a key role in developing and executing internal and external communication strategies. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with excellent writing skills and a deep understanding of the legal industry.

Key Responsibilities:Content Development:

Draft, edit, and oversee the production of high-quality content, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, social media updates, and client communications.Media Relations:

Assist in managing relationships with media outlets, including drafting press releases, coordinating interviews, and monitoring media coverage to enhance the firm's public image.Internal Communications:

Develop and implement communication plans to engage and inform employees about firm news, policies, and events.Brand Management:

Ensure all communications are consistent with the firm’s brand guidelines and values. Help in developing and maintaining brand standards across all platforms.Social Media Management:

Oversee the firm’s social media presence, creating and curating content that engages the audience and promotes the firm’s achievements and thought leadership.Event Coordination:

Assist in planning and promoting firm events, webinars, and seminars, ensuring that they align with the firm's strategic goals.Crisis Communication:

Support the development of crisis communication plans and manage responses to sensitive situations in a manner that protects and enhances the firm’s reputation.Analytics & Reporting:

Monitor and analyze communication campaigns and provide regular reports on their effectiveness. Use data to refine and improve future communication strategies.Collaboration:

Work closely with attorneys, practice groups, and the business development team to identify communication opportunities and develop content that supports business goals.

Qualifications:*Must reside in California*Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in a communications role within a law firm environment.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.Knowledge of legal industry trends and issues is a plus.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
