JOB SUMMARY:

This role is accountable for driving growth and profitability improvement through product management and marketing efforts within select product lines. The Product Manager will play a fundamental role in transforming Sabert's business through innovative marketing strategies, tactics and execution that achieve our aggressive volume, profit, and market-share objectives. In addition, the Product Manager will also have a leadership role in innovation and the development of profitable new products and solutions for our business-to-business customers.

Job Responsibilities:Develop and manage product line marketing plans, including: strategy and positioning, differentiation, market research, and all aspects of integrated marketing including advertising, public relations, communication, internet, trade journals, product launches, brochures, trade shows, etc.Provide the sales force with effective marketing support, including sales tools, training, consumer trend information, customer presentations and problem-solving support.Oversee and coordinate forecasting, pricing strategy.Manage product line optimization, including SKU rationalization and product line expansions.Identify new opportunities by recognizing market and consumer trends and formulating long-term new product ideas to ensure growth and profitability.Develop strong relationships with sales. Meet with customers to gain a thorough understanding of their needs.Lead efforts to attain cost savings or margin enhancement projects, prioritize New Product Development & major projects, quality and service level attainment, resource planning and problem resolution.Analyze and track market and competitive information of the select product lines in all channels, including key competitors, sustainable competitive advantages and core competency identification and exploitation.Provide support to our sales organization with presentation material and market data/trends.Represent Marketing within Innovation projects act as team lead for innovation projects within the category.Ensure all products meet sustainability and environmental impact goals, aligning with the company's commitment to compostable packaging.Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure product development aligns with operational capabilities and sustainability objectives.Stay informed on environmental regulations and industry standards related to compostable packaging to ensure compliance.Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of the food packaging industry, particularly compostable and sustainable packaging solutions.Familiarity with market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in the food packaging sector.Awareness of environmental regulations and standards related to compostable packaging.Knowledge of product development processes, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and commercialization.Understanding of materials science, particularly related to biodegradable and compostable materials.Skills:

Strong analytical skills for market data, customer insights, and competitive analysis.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation.Proficiency in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Expertise in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.Ability to support sales teams with training, tools, and customer presentations.Abilities:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of progressively responsible experience, with an emphasis in product management, preferably in the food packaging or sustainable products industry.Experience in managing product line P&Ls and related activitiesSuccessful track record in product development and product launchesExperience in food packaging or similar business a plusOther
