Job Title: Interim Technical Designer
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid: In office 3 days a week (Tues Thurs), Remote Mon & Fri)
Duration: 05 Months
Pay Rate Range: $35/hr - $42/hr on w2
Job Description:
Duties:The ideal Technical Designer is detail-oriented, obsessed with apparel development, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional peers and external partners to ensure the product is aligned with development strategies and business needsDevelop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheets and construction images to align with Design intent and Brand DNAEvaluate samples to ensure product specifications, quality, and construction standards are being executedFollow the sample through fit approvals to production to ensure intent is metCommunicate fit comments to suppliers to achieve desired correctionsCollaborate with stakeholders to streamline product development and production processes, escalating when leadership involvement is neededBuild trusting relationships with suppliers and maintain close dialogue regarding capacity and calendarAlign and deliver to agreed calendar milestonesPartner with Pattern Engineer and Design Team on block pattern development to align with brand benchmarksAnalyze market research and customer review data to drive recommendationsConduct wear testsCollaborate with internal teams to maintain sample organization throughout the development and production lifecycleComfortably work across various categories and product typesExposure to fit model go-sees and measuring live modelsSchedule and lead fit sessionsParticipate in special projects as directedPartner with and mentor new hires through various Technical Design stations of workSkills:
