Position Overview

Northwood Ravin is seeking a seasoned and highly organized Interior Designer to join our in-house design and architecture team in the Charlotte office. This person must have a strong understanding of the design process, building codes, and design trends. They will participate in all phases of design including project visioning, production of interior design documents, procurement and installation of FF&E selections for the amenity spaces, corridors, model units and other outdoor amenity spaces. This person will report to the VP of Design, and VP of Architecture as well collaborate with the rest of the Design, Development & Construction teams. Essential FunctionsAssist with initial Visioning sessions to help develop project theme and designParticipate in all phases of design, including programming, concept design, space planning, technical detailing, furnishing layouts, and finish specificationsAttend meetings and coordinate with internal construction & development teams as well as all other design disciplines such as civil, architectural, structural, landscape and MEPManage the selection of FF&E in our amenities, common areas and model unitsComplete amenity furniture plans and collaborate on the interior finishesPrepare project budgets for the furniture, accessories, art procurement and installationCreate FF&E presentations for each new project to present to in-house Development teamsWork with consultants, furniture buyers, product representatives, and fabricators for procurement and installation to meet the overall project schedule and budget objectivesMaintain an FF&E log for each project and coordinate purchase orders with accountingFacilitate and participate in onsite installation for amenity spaces, common areas and model unitsAssist as needed in the FF&E refresh projects for existing portfolioAssist Marketing in review of interior renderingsAbility to travel in SE as necessary to the location of the various NWR projects & construction sites. Possible travel 7-14 days a monthContribute to office initiatives and internal learning programs to bring creative and innovative ideas that would add value to NWR brandQualifications

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design (from an accredited institution preferred)7-10 years of professional experience as an interior designer within multi-family, commercial or hospitality industries. (Minimum 3 years' experience with multi-family)Demonstrated skills in space planning and project design, with knowledge of building codesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsSelf-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and works well in a team environment.Strong visual, written and presentation skillsAbility to multi-task with minimum of 5-7 active projects at one time and knowledgeable of all projects in development pipeline at other phases.Knowledge of current products, material costs and design trendsProficiency using Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Bluebeam Revu, Procore and Digital-real time- meetings, Microsoft Team & ZoomExperience with a drawing/redline software- Bluebeam Revu, Sketch-up & AutoCAD or Revit
