SUMMARY:

The Marketing, Graphic design, and Branding Specialist for the Intermediate Unit is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance the organization's visibility, brand identity, marketing, and customer engagement. This position will also provide contracted marketing and design services to schools and educational partners upon request. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can manage multiple aspects of marketing, including graphic design, social media, content creation, branding, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting compelling messages and visuals that resonate with diverse audiences, while also ensuring exceptional customer service in all communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

include the following:Marketing Strategy Development:Design and implement marketing strategies that align with the Intermediate Unit's goals and enhance its public presence.Conduct market research to identify trends, audience preferences, and opportunities for growth.Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies to maximize impact.Graphic Design:Create eye-catching graphics for digital and print media, including brochures, flyers, social media posts, websites, and newsletters.Maintain consistency in design and messaging across all marketing materials in line with the brand guidelines and market trends.Collaborate with internal teams to design promotional materials that support organizational initiatives.Branding:Uphold and strengthen the Intermediate Unit's brand identity across all communication channels.Develop and enforce brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive and professional image.Work with external partners and vendors to produce branded materials that meet the organization's standards.Social Media Management:Develop and manage social media strategies to boost engagement and reach on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.Create, curate, and schedule engaging content, including posts, stories, and multimedia campaigns.Monitor social media accounts, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers to foster a positive online community.Content Creation:Write and edit a variety of content, including blog posts, press releases, website copy, and email newsletters.Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content that effectively communicates the Intermediate Unit's programs and services.Ensure all content is aligned with the organization's messaging strategy and is both informative and engaging.Customer Service:Serve as the primary point of contact for all marketing-related customer inquiries and issues.Respond to customer questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve communication strategies and enhance customer satisfaction.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with various departments to gather information, understand their communication needs, and develop appropriate materials.Serve as the point of contact for all marketing and communication-related inquiries and projects.Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed.Maintain a valid state driver's license and ability to drive without advanced noticeSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role.Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, etc.) and social media management tools.Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Knowledge of branding principles and best practices.Strong customer service orientation.Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML is a plus.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the education sector or a non-profit environment.Understanding of digital marketing trends and analytics.Photography and video editing skills.Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools.LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Shall establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of groups, including teachers, students, administrators, co-workers, community and vendor representatives, consultants, and others as appropriate. Shall provide user support with a focus on customer service, respond to requests for technical assistance, communicate with groups as related to assigned projects, and communicate current, timely information on assigned projects. Shall have the ability to write reports and correspondence, be willing to take ownership of projects, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Must possess initiative and be self-directed and detail-oriented.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
