As part of the Media Platforms Center of Excellence, we are shaping the future of how Verizon Value uses media and connections to fuel company growth. This role will partner with the Verizon Value Organization and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to build media plans that drive awareness, demand, engagement and ultimately loyal consumption of our products and services.As a member of this fast-paced and energetic team, you will be responsible for shaping the local media strategy and execution of key initiatives across brands within the portfolio in need of retail support in priority markets. Reporting to the Associate Director and Senior Director of Media Strategy & Activation supporting Value Brands, you will partner with a broad & cross-functional set of talented stakeholders, particularly supporting Verizon Value campaigns as well as channel and special project strategies. From an enterprise perspective, you will also help to oversee portfolio operations for the Verizon Value portfolio, inclusive of cross-brand financial ops, competitive and auditing intelligence, and portfolio wide deliverables in partnership with the core Verizon team.Lead strategy and data informed media plan development (with media agency) across offline and online channels on a localized level to ensure all ladder into holistic marketing approach to fulfill key initiatives and goals.Act as the local cross-team leader ensuring integration with other media team members and agency teams, helping to ensure local information is provided in briefing materials.Partner directly with key stakeholders & counterparts in Integrated Marketing, Creative teams, CMI, and Marketing Analytics to effectively tie media outcomes to deliver on business objectives.Partner with agency and analytics team to report on completed local campaigns, apply advanced analytical skills to identify any performance highlights and/or trends to inform local strategy & tactics for moving forward.Identify, educate and provide strong POVs around innovation and opportunities in the local media landscape.Oversee the development and final formats/content of ongoing internal presentations and deliverables to showcase portfolio wide media plans and campaigns to internal Verizon organization.Ensure effective budget management including reconciliation and invoice approval across VZ Value organization.Establish and refine processes for executional excellence.Ensure accuracy and socialization of competitive reporting and analysis from media agency.Oversee ongoing media auditing process to ensure makegoods & ADUs are implemented as required.What we’re looking for... You’ll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.Six or more years of relevant work experience in consumer marketing or media.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Knowledge of wireless and retail categories.Experience in local media strategy, planning, and execution across multiple channels.Understanding of local market nuances, tiered approaches to local investments, and how to drive foot traffic to retail.Experience in managing media plan budgets and spend shifts with reporting used for executive presentations and deliverables.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and creating visual, data presentations used for senior leadership.Ability to understand business & marketing strategy and correlate business outcomes to media actions/KPIs.Experience in local media optimization, leveraging multiple forms of measurement (foot traffic analysis, MMM, etc.)Ability to effectively collaborate with creative teams for joint, idea-led media plans.Effective and efficient project management and campaign execution skills.Resilience in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment.Ability to manage through ambiguity and balance multiple dynamic priorities.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.Where you’ll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours 40Equal Employment Opportunity We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees’ differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
