Plus, if we want to get full tax-exempt status – which will make it easier for us to do things like get discount hosting for our online chat, or offer educational programs – we need to raise about the equivalent of a full year’s hosting costs to cover the IRS filing fees.So … how about hitting the tech-art tipjar to help keep the site up and healthy?Job Title: Technical Rigging Artist As a Technical Rigging Artist, you will contribute to the development of tools and workflows that ensure the rigging pipeline supports the creation of inspiring, engaging and informative game experiences.Responsibilities

Develop and maintain flexible rigging and skinning tools that satisfy a wide variety of needs and stylesAdvance the quality of animated assets by working with teams to continually improve rigging workflowsResearch new techniques, processes, and pipelines with a focus on improving collaboration and efficiency amongst artists, designers, and engineersCreate standards and conventions for rigging and skinning that encourages iteration, consistency, and qualityDevelop rigs and skeletons working with modelers and animators that adhere to project goals and technical limitationsProvide technical support for a wide variety of rigging challenges across multiple disciplinesTroubleshoot and provide solutions for workflow and runtime issuesQualifications

5+ years of production experience with a significant portion dedicated to the use and creation of rigging pipelinesPortfolio demonstrating rigging and tool developmentExpertise in all aspects of rigging pipelines including set up, automation, and optimizationIn-depth knowledge of MayaProficient with Python, PyMEL, and PySideStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-driven team-oriented contributor with excellent time management skillsA customer-centric approach to tool development; solid grasp of UXPassion for creative problem solving and debuggingPreferred Qualifications

Familiar with MotionBuilder and motion capture workflowsExperience using Unreal or UnityExperience with runtime riggingThis is a full-time, professional exempt, on-site position in Bellevue, WA, with benefits. Click here to apply.
