Screening of applicants is ongoing. The number of available positions varies from semester to semester (fall, spring, and summer), depending upon the needs of the department.General Duties:

In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and using Cal's electronic resources for course management.Qualifications

Basic qualifications

(required at time of application)Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent international degree, at the time of application.Additional qualifications

(required at time of start)Advanced degree OR 3 years of teaching experience in a related field OR 3 years of relevant professional experience.For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position.
