JOB DESCRIPTIONMoonlight Studios Chicago seeks Venue Director. An outgoing personality, industry knowledge, and strong consultative selling skills with a sincere focus on customer service are preferred. Nights and weekends will be required. Current management role within the corporate events services, event production, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment is preferred.DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEIdeal candidates should possess knowledge of venue management and operations within the event production industry. A minimum of two years of venue management or high-level agency experience is preferred.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESGenerate sales for Moonlight Studios.Drive marketing initiatives to enhance Moonlight Studio's presence in New York.Manage live, hybrid, and virtual events and shoots.Maintain an onsite presence during events, which will require some weekend and after-hours work.Assist clients based on their individual usage needs.Organize all event details and communicate with necessary parties.Create and manage vendor relationships.Schedule and attend all meetings and walkthroughs for Moonlight Studios.Build and edit proposals and invoices for clients.Manage all billing/payment terms.Manage vendor commissions.Maintain overall quality control over event execution to ensure client satisfaction.DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSPrior experience selling live event production along with hybrid or virtual events to major accounts.Previous production experience and/or familiarity with event production terminology.Self-starter that can thrive in both corporate and start-up environments.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Knowledge of industry trends and technologies.Strong ability to collaborate and coordinate.Professional maturity, integrity, discipline, and a positive attitude.Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).Exceptional presentation skills.Ability to manage the successful execution of a sales strategy.Excellent negotiation skills.Willingness to travel and work overtime, on weekends, and on short notice when necessary.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years in venue management, event production/design sales, sales management, account management, or agency work.Strong experience with MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Mac-based Keynote for presentations.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (3 - 5 years).Ability to create strong contacts in the social, business meetings, events, and trade show industries.COMPENSATIONA comprehensive compensation package including salary, commissions, medical and dental insurance, vacation, and holidays will be offered.
