American Honda’s Sustainability & Business Development business unit is tasked with navigating the business and technology application path for Honda’s future renewable energy, resource circulation, and innovative business initiative products, services, and businesses. By providing solutions to users that are intuitive, generate value for users in terms of time saving, money savings, and enriching their lives, we can expand and deepen our relationship with each customer.This position is tasked with contributing to the proposing, developing, testing, and delivering new business models outside of existing revenue streams to expand Honda relationships with customers and deepen the brand bonds between Acura and Honda customers and our company. This requires extensive understanding of charging user experience, energy products & services, market research, service provider research, and frequent coordination and review of wide-ranging information, along with regular communication with external business partners, HM, Product Planning, Service, Quality, Sales Finance, Legal, and other pertinent business units.Responsibilities include:Support the Project Leader to conduct research for EVSE business opportunities including extensive market research and competitor research. Show strong passion and initiative with a deep understanding in charging infrastructure, providing clear guidance to Honda companies (RO/GO) for electrification future.Support the proposal development and obtain approval of a financially sustainable business model. This includes financial and term negotiation and legal agreement execution with selected vendors. Must propose for final executive approval in a time-sensitive market launch to maximize operational profit.Support the administration and implementations of approved business lines for successful launch. Must ensure customer facing experiences are best-in-class, as well as ensuring quick resolution of launch issues. Create an operational acceptance criteria to push the assigned projects into a standardized, normal business operation for AHM.Lead administration of creating, updating, and maintaining required documentation for clear operation by the operation team. Required documentation must clear necessary regulatory, compliance clearances, as well as legal approval.Communication: Accountable for keeping team members, management, and others in the company informed of the progress and direction of the team’s efforts.Who we are seeking:Required Work Experience:3 years minimum of professional experience, preferably related to automotive IT or connected service development experience, ideally in planning, telematics, or engineering.Experience in new product development.Experience in EV charging business and technology.Experience in developing financial and business models, financial forecasts, negotiating business terms and conditions, contracts, and business administration preferred.Experience in a coordination role.Required Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Market Research, Business, or equivalent work experience.Desired skills:Product Development.Project Management.Proficiency in communication and productivity software (Word, PowerPoint), project management software (Excel-based Bullet, MS Project, MS Teams).Working Conditions:Hybrid environment with 40% in office.Long hours and schedule flexibility is required.Frequent meetings of 1-2 hours duration.Regular conference calls and video conferences.Frequent working outside of normal business hours, particularly late evenings for meetings with other time zones (e.g., US Eastern time, Japan, early morning for Europe).Preparation of proposals for executive approval are frequent and often required on short timelines.Expectations are very high.Travel up to 10% (domestic and international).Requires the frequent and routine handling of highly confidential company long-term strategies for growth and compliance.Additional Position Factors:Workstyle: Hybrid.Travel: 10%.At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
