The main function of a Content Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining technical records and files. We need a content writer/developer to partner with our existing team to improve our policy and process documentation. This will serve both internal and external audiences.

Job Responsibilities:

Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

Maintain records and files of work and revisions.

Confer with clients to establish technical specifications and determine subject material to be developed for publication.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, English, journalism, or communications.

2-4 years of experience required.

Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Ability to read some programming code and understand legal language.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The ideal resume would contain experience with legal language and technical language. Experience creating process guides that include both text and diagrams. Previous experience with Visio is ideal. Familiarity with the use of AI in writing.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.20 to $44.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
