$41,200 – $48, 925ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:The International Wolf Center (IWC) is an educational organization dedicated to advancing the survival of wolf populations. They achieve this by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wildlands, and the human role in their future.All International Wolf Center employees are expected to represent the organization positively when interacting with members of IWC’s community and effectively engage with their diverse group of staff, board members, volunteers, interns, and partners. All employees are expected to uphold the organization’s mission, adhere to organizational standards of objectivity and scientific accuracy in all program activities, and handle confidential information with tact and discretion.POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Communications Specialist to join our small staff, who are committed to making a big impact. This position supports the Marketing and Brand Manager with marketing efforts, providing graphic design and promotional support for the entire organization including Development, Exhibits, Retail and Education.MARKETING SUPPORT (35%)General marketingAssists

with communication strategies to enhance the organization’s public imageSupports

the Marketing and Brand manager with coordinating marketing collateral,

including design, production, and printing of flyers, brochures, signs,

banners, and outside advertising.Collaborate

with internal teams to ensure alignment of messaging and brandingPosts

marketing content on external websites such as ExploreMinnesota.com,

Ely.org, etc.Develop,

monitor and track Google Nonprofit AdWords Account.Provide

support for public events as assigned.Email MarketingMaintains

a calendar for all electronic mailings.Prepares

and assists with monthly newsletter and other campaigns in collaboration

with team members.Ensures

the design and layouts of emails are optimized and user- and

mobile-friendly.Manages

email listsTrack

and measure results to ensure they are in line with the intended goalsDIGITAL MARKETING (30%)Social MediaMaintains

social media calendar and schedules posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,

TikTok.Coordinates

with staff to develop social media content regularly.Identifies

opportunities to grow engagement on social platforms and increase the

number of followers.Monitor

and steer digital campaigns to maximize reach and engagement, drive web

traffic and generate donations.Provide

updates when requested on the Center’s social media reach.Website Coordination (25%)Reviews,

approves and updates web page content submitted by staff, ensuring that it

adheres to style guidelines.Builds

web pages, tests new features, and collaborates with staff to implement

website enhancements and fixes as requested.Monitors

the Center’s ranking within individual search engines.Identifies,

suggests, and/or collaborates to implement new web marketing opportunities

as directed.Assists

the Marketing and Brand Manager with developing web protocols and

policies.Assists

the Marketing and Brand Manager to ensure accessibility and brand

alignmentAssists

with Search Engine Optimization as needed.Performs

with image selection for each issueReview

images and photo credits in PDF proofs.Adds

acknowledgments to volunteer photographers and artists.QUALIFICATIONSRequiredAt

least 3-4 years of marketing and/or communications experienceExceptional

computer skills and experience working in a Mac environment with

Microsoft, G Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Constant Contact.Previous

experience in marketing, communications, and public relations with skills

in advertising, promotion and online/electronic communicationsExcellent

written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding

organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with

competing deadlines.A high

degree of professionalism with attention to quality and detailExcellent

people skills, with an upbeat and enthusiastic attitudeSuperior

professionalism, judgment and diplomacyCommunicate

fluently (oral and written) in EnglishPreferredA

bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related

field is preferred.Employee

must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift/carry up to 30 lbs.Valid

driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicleExperience

in basic video editing and production desiredWORKING CONDITIONSThis position is based in our Twin Cities and is subject to a hybrid work schedule. Typical hours are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, with occasional evenings and/or weekends.
