TEMPLE JUDEA, a vibrant and welcoming Reform Jewish synagogue located in Tarzana, CA in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and organized person to serve as their Social Media Coordinator.Under the supervision of the Director of Engagement, and working with our Engagement team, the Social Media Coordinator will assist with all social media and online campaigns.Responsibilities:

Create & Manage social media content

(including digital images, video, captions) to engage current and prospective Temple members across platforms including but not limited to YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, and ensure we are staying active and current by maintaining a social media planned content calendar.Build our audience

by driving engagement and traffic on social media channels and to the website.Monitor analytics and manage our social media accounts

to drive recommendations that will improve our social media presence.Support other digital communications as needed.Skills:

Social Media Marketing (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok)Social Media CommunicationsContent DesignContent MarketingDigital marketingGraphic design (Canva)Time managementThis position can be fully or partly remote and requires a commitment of about 10 hours per week. We welcome college students or other experienced applicants who are excited to gain experience and build their communications portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your creativity and strengthen your social media skills in ways that contribute meaningfully to our community, while also gaining valuable first-hand experience in nonprofit management and marketing/public relations.This is a non-exempt part-time paid position at $18.00/hr.Employment may be contingent upon the completion of a LiveScan background check, encompassing the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) screenings.
