We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on/working leader as a Senior Marketing Manager to lead our small yet robust marketing team of three. This role involves overseeing marketing activities for all Convivial Brands and ensuring the alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a working leader with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver impactful results—knowing what to prioritize to get the desired results for today, while keeping the near and later future in mind.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

LMA (Lead, Manage, Hold Team Accountable):

Leads, Manages, and holds the team accountable.

Supports, encourages, coaches, and maintains accountability to ensure success of team members and of the organization.

Lead and mentor a team of three: two Creative Content Designers II and one Content Design Manager.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Lead the charge of having a pool of Freelancers available – whether individual relationships or services such as UpWork.

Campaign Management:

Initiate, manage, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across traditional, print, social, and digital channels.

Develop comprehensive campaign plans including objectives, timelines, budgets, and KPIs.

Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals.

Coordinate with external agencies and vendors as necessary.

Brand Marketing:

Develop and maintain strong brand identities for each brand under the Convivial Brands umbrella.

Implement brand guidelines alongside Content Design Manager and VP of Creative to ensure consistency across all marketing materials.

Collaborate with internal brand ambassadors to refine and implement marketing strategies that meet brand needs.

Ensure brand messaging aligns with the company's core values and resonates with target audiences.

Digital and Social Media Marketing:

Oversee and enhance social media presence for all brands, including content creation, community management, and paid social campaigns.

Develop and implement effective digital marketing campaigns including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and content marketing.

Analyze digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to drive data-driven decisions.

Stay updated on digital marketing trends and best practices to keep the brands ahead of the curve.

Market Research and Data Collection:

Conduct effective market research to gather data on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.

Utilize a variety of research methods including surveys, focus groups, and data analysis to collect relevant information.

Interpret and analyze market data to identify opportunities and threats.

Create detailed market reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Use market insights to inform and adjust marketing strategies, ensuring they are aligned with market demands and consumer behavior.

Lead Generation and Funnel Management:

Create and manage lead generation funnels from various sources including tradeshows, advertising, and emails.

Develop and implement strategies—align with sales—to capture, nurture, and convert leads into customers.

Monitor lead generation performance and optimize tactics to maximize ROI.

Collaborate with sales teams to ensure smooth lead handoff and follow-up processes.

Advertising and Budget Management:

Evaluate advertising opportunities and manage marketing budgets effectively.

Ensure advertising efforts are cost-effective and impactful.

Develop media plans and negotiate with media outlets for the best rates and placements.

Track and report on advertising performance to ensure alignment with business goals.

Content and Persona Development:

Develop targeted content and campaigns for various audiences, including B2B and (eventual) D2C segments.

Create detailed buyer personas and tailor marketing efforts to specific customer groups per brand.

Oversee the production of high-quality marketing materials including brochures, flyers, mailers, catalogs, social media posts, email newsletters, website content, etc.

Ensure all content is on-brand, engaging, and optimized for search engines and social media.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, creative, product development, and operations to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives.

Communicate marketing plans and results to stakeholders effectively.

Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to leverage resources and expertise.

Represent the marketing department in meetings and provide strategic input.

Continuous Improvement and Learning:

Stay updated on marketing trends and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the marketing team.

Encourage team members to seek out new skills and knowledge to enhance their performance.

Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay connected with the marketing community as needed.

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or other related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

At least 5 to 7 years of Marketing execution and experience and proven knowledge and expertise in key functional Marketing areas.

1-2 years of successful, effective team management of other Marketing or Design professionals.

Proof of building a strong company brand, with at least 2-3% engagement rate on Social Media.

Active listener. A curious person who is always asking questions and seeking to understand.

Ability to effectively and positively lead and supervise a team, including development and coaching.

Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast paced, change oriented environment.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Collaborative team player with the ability to connect and work with employees at all levels; interacting effectively with senior management and staff to carry out the organization’s mission and objectives.

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Superb interpersonal, presentation, verbal/written communication, and listening skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as experience using Project Management systems.

All amounts are fully vested immediately.
