About the Team:

The Hillsboro Hops are the High-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, approximately 15 miles west of Portland. They have won three (3) Championship Titles since 2013 and are the recipient of the 2017 Bob Freitas Award, awarded to the best operating teams in Minor League Baseball. In 2022, they were awarded top honors within MiLB for their efforts in authentic, meaningful connections in the Latinx community by winning the Copa de la Diversión (Fun Cup) initiative.

What Will You Be Doing?

You will bring first-class memories to the Hops community by planning, promoting, and executing our promotional calendar during the 66-game season. Collaborating alongside multiple departments, including marketing and partnerships, you will help generate revenue for the team by utilizing effective branding and marketing initiatives. This position will also lead the Game Operations department in tasks such as directing the on-field show, managing promotions interns, as well as part-time promotional and production team members. This is a full-time, permanent position with eligible benefits.

Role Responsibilities

Oversee the development and execution of all in-venue entertainment, including, but not limited to, the Hops' promotional calendar, corporate partnership events, and other community or non-game events

Executing all on-field promotional activitiesSchedule and book entertainment while maintaining an annual budgetAudition and book national anthem performersCoordinate First Pitches

Lead the creation of new and entertaining content for all in-park promotions/entertainmentWork alongside our community relations department on mascot handling and community appearancesCollaborate with the marketing department to help promote ballpark eventsOrder and design promotional products and giveawaysLead game day production meetings (both Front Office and Production Crew meetings)Work alongside seasonal interns/game day staff to assist in their growth and development within the promotions department and the organization as a wholeHelp create a daily game script, ensuring partnership elements and other promotional needs are met each gameLog partnership activations for Proof of Performance recaps post-seasonUtilize the Sound Director program and assist with ballpark music and ambianceOther Office & Stadium Duties as assignedRequirements for Consideration

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, sport management or a related field from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge, experience, and professional trainingFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Open availability for all 66 home games

Expected workload of 60-80 hours in a game week. Flexible scheduling throughout the year to offset game week commitments

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPointDemonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of Adobe Creative suite, especially PhotoshopAbility to prioritize multiple tasksMust have reliable transportationMust have a high level of interpersonal skills to work with other departments and external contactsDetail-orientedAbility to work in an environment where on-the-fly thinking and implementation is neededStrong communication, time-management, teamwork, and organization skills neededCompensation : $45,000/annually plus bonus structure (when eligible).
