The

Marketing Manager

should be well-versed in the dynamics of sports promotion, with an understanding of storytelling, fan and product marketing and project execution. This role requires engaging with Minor League Baseball (MiLB) to represent the Salt Lake Bees and leading a team of baseball marketing and game operations support professionals to provide a one-of-a-kind baseball experience.

The

Marketing Manager

is responsible for managing all marketing efforts for the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees. They will be responsible for developing a strategic marketing plan with key objectives to drive fan attendance at the ballpark and grow total revenue each year They will report to the platform level (Miller Sports + Entertainment) Director of Marketing and VP of Brand Marketing.

The position will:

Protect the moral, legal, and financial assets and wellbeing of the company.Responsible for overseeing and conceptualizing all creative development and execution for traditional and digital media with the goal of increasing fanbase, increasing attendance, and converting sales.Manage all branding elements at the ballpark (sponsorship signage, entrance signs, directional signage, concession signage, etc.)Oversee all marketing collateral pieces from concept to design including, but not limited to ticket and group sales materials, ballpark collateral, theme night promotions, Web design, emails.Work closely with advertising agency to develop strategic media buys and season long promotion schedule.Work closely with Sales Department on ticket promotions and sales programs, and special events.Responsible for elevating the fan experience at the game.Oversee Game Operations Managers to effectively plan season promotions and market those in the community.Oversee monthly content calendar with approval/direction from VP of Marketing.Oversee mascot promotion and campaigns.Conduct market research to better understand current market conditions, competitor information, and fan information and then use those insights to create specific plans of action.Support upper management on strategic company initiatives.Partner with Community Relations department on community projects.Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Department to help create marketing solutions for sponsors.Coordinate activities on official team website, SLBees.com and Bees App.Copywriting - coming up with and approving creative ideas/text to describe campaigns and initiatives.Assist with email marketing campaigns.Report on all marketing analytics after a game homestand.Responsible for capturing and directing media assets each season of player photos, fan experience, and corporate events for use in promotional materials.Track marketing expenses and ensure successful execution of all elements within budget.Work with the social media team to align with business goals.Develop relationships with MiLB stakeholders.Oversee Youth Baseball Program.Other duties as assignedWhat are the requirements of the Job?

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing or related fieldMinimum 2 years Marketing or related experienceTechnical Marketing and MarCom skillsDemonstrated success in developing sound marketing plans and strategiesExperience in consumer and market researchSound knowledge of local radio and television marketExperience with relevant marketing tools and software applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSkilled problem analysis, problem solving, and decision-making abilitiesPerformance oriented and strategic thinkingMust be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.Must be able to communicate in English.This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
