JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and distribute print and digital materials (flyers, newsletter, etc.)Retouch and manipulate imagesUse graphic design software and work with a wide variety of mediaAssemble presentation materials for CCL staff as neededManage social media sites to share information about CCL programmingEnsure proactive planning, communication and evaluation of Heritage eventsParticipate in planning committee meetings (draft agendas, take notes)Serves on CCL planning committees, in collaboration with The Village and El CentroProvides 5-7 hours a week of in-person office hoursConduct research on various topics to create informational materialPerforms other duties as requested, delegated or assigned

BASIC COMPETENCIES: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities)

Experience with InDesign, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and IllustratorGraphic design or related major/minor preferred or design portfolioExperience managing social media sitesExperience with event planning and coordinationStrong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment and still meet deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and follow- up skillsDynamic self-starter who takes initiative, highly reliable and dependableAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills: Word and ExcelMust be enrolled at least part-time as a degree-seeking undergraduate Dominican University studentMust be eligible for US employmentAPPLICATION MATERIALSPlease submit a cover letter describing how your skills and interests align directly with the role to which you are applying and the mission of the CCL.#J-18808-Ljbffr
