The SommSelect Marketing Manager will be the key person driving strategy and execution of the marketing plan. You will be responsible for customer acquisition for each line of business. You will work closely with the Wine Team and the Customer Service Team to manage all marketing needs and drive the strategy to grow sales. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about what we do, willing to bring new ideas and excited to help us achieve our goals. The role reports directly to the General Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own, develop and execute the SommSelect marketing strategy in collaboration with the General Manager, Wine team & Customer Service team.Grow brand exposure and conversions by creating compelling content across all channels to meet goals as set forth in closely monitored KPI’s.Responsible for increasing Wine Club subscriptions & Daily Offer sales monthly, per KPI goals.Responsible for driving sales via adoption of our products (Daily Offers) and services (Wine Club subscriptions) using current e-commerce techniques, tools and technologies.Analyze and report on all marketing campaign results and analyze data to refine or pivot strategies to drive sales execution.Collaborate with social media and digital ad consultants (if and as necessary) to assess performance analytics and pivot strategies accordingly.Manage all written content for social media, ads, blogs, website & various promotional materials.Design visual content to support marketing initiatives including digital ads, promotional graphics, email campaigns, asset photography, & video shoots.Design and update all marketing collateral including, but not limited to digital ads, brochures, website updates, event collateral & manage printing and production.Manage & execute digital strategy for social media, newsletters, and ad campaigns via core martech systems (HubSpot, Shopify, Google).Develop, orchestrate & execute special promotions via social & ads in collaboration with the wine team.Support the monthly club collateral design, graphic generations, editing & printing.Proactively engage with media contacts to grow coverage in relevant channels.Manage & grow photo and video assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to demonstrate how your individual efforts and contributions have grown customers, sales and engagement for other ecommerce companies, ideally in the wine industry.Proven mastery with HubSpot & Shopify, including developing and managing martech automations & workflows.Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AI & SMS technology proficiency highly desired.Digital media management experience required.Solid understanding of wine (WSET or SOMM certs preferred) & DTC marketing.Excellent writing skills required, from casual messaging to educational wine content.Strong creative aesthetic & graphic design experience required.Project Management experience.Outside the box thinker, Passion for our business.Reliable, honest, professional, energetic and a sense of humor.Flexible and adaptable to change.Ability to multi-task and high attention to detail.Forward thinker with strong problem-solving skills.A go-getter and team player who has the ability to work independently.5+ years of related experience.

COMPENSATIONS

Salary commensurate with experience. Eligible for various forms of incentive compensation.

WORK LOCATION

This position is located in our Napa office and has no direct reports. Should be able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion.
