This is an entry-level position that serves as a vital addition to University of Utah Health’s Internal Communications and Employee Engagement team. This candidate will be involved with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to; writing and producing multi-media content, publishing news articles, images, alerts, videos, and banners to the organization’s intranet (Pulse), publishing weekly email newsletters, sending targeted and system-wide communications via the organization’s email tool, and communicating with internal stakeholders for the duration of story-cycles. This role will also assist with various project management and organizational duties to help the team meet deadlines and stakeholder expectations.Additionally, this role may assist with duties including, but not limited to: Conceptualizing, creating, and coordinating content intended for internal audiences. Helping to produce videos, written stories, scripts and graphics.Responsibilities

Develops and executes various communication/marketing objectives by utilizing traditional and electronic publishing technologies.Develops and communicates department information on various projects to key stakeholders, both internal and external (primarily internal).Responsible for monitoring effectiveness of communication tactics and providing performance metrics and data.Collaborates with immediate team members and various department stakeholders to conceptualize, coordinate, and create content for various projects and/or campaigns.Develops and adheres to project timelines.Ensures that deliverables are accurate and meet deadlines.May perform other related technical duties as assigned.Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). One year of related experience and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.This entry-level position requires good technical writing and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.Preferences

Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and in a CMS environment.Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva) and video production is a major plus.Experience with a variety of word-processing computer software and project management software is preferred.This candidate should be able to work independently and in team settings.Additional Information
