A workplace where you can proudly be yourself; our people make Sky a truly exciting and inclusive place to work.As a key member of Sky’s Content PR Team, you will help to drive awareness of TV content coming to Sky in the UK and deliver best in class work, as part of an in-house team.Job Title : Assistant Publicist: Acquisitions & EditorialReports to : Reporting to Publicist (Acquisitions) & Publicist (Editorial)Division : Consumer Engagement Team (CET), Corporate Affairs (CA)What you'll do :Support Acquisitions team on delivery of UK Market TX publicity campaigns for non-Sky original TV shows acquired from major studios including HBO, Peacock, NBC Universal and others.Assist in the delivery of priority PR campaigns for key acquisition titles.Build positive relationships with key PR counterparts at key studios that Sky buys from, working with them to facilitate media requests around key shows.Draft press releases and other press materials with strong attention to detail.Secure interview nominations and feature opportunities for new acquisition titles.Develop a wealth of media contacts across national and consumer press – particularly focussed on digital outlets and ‘What to Watch’ media.Support sell-ins for key asset drops for acquisitions titles.Collate press coverage and manage critical acclaim approvals - providing press updates to the team and wider business.Attend meetings with the acquisitions commissioning team, contributing updates alongside CET colleagues.Support the wider PR team alongside our other Assistant Publicists, undertaking duties including:Managing the central Sky press inbox, dealing with media queries, providing routine information and referring queries on where necessary.Issuing scheduling amendments to press at the end of each day (Mon-Fri).Managing Sky Media Village, our platform where journalists can access information and screeners for Sky’s upcoming content.Provide assistance at media events and interviews such as screenings and junkets.Administrative activities as required, including managing screeners, managing talent schedules, booking transport, raising purchase orders, preparing expenses, maintaining contact lists and ordering equipment.What you’ll bring:Highly motivated individual with a passion for PR and the media, in particular TV.Experience in PR and/or social media is essential.Good knowledge of popular culture, particularly TV.Happy to be flexible and handle both administrative and creative assignments with equal passion.Excellent personal and written communication skills.Ability to act with autonomy, seeking solutions to problems and referring upwards for guidance or to gain agreement on a recommendation.The Rewards :There's a reason people can't stop talking about #LifeAtSky.
