News Editor (Part-time)

WPDE has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented, and creative News Editor! The position is part-time. The hours are Saturday & Sundays 5am-10am, Monday & Tuesday 3am-8am. Our news editors also run prompter for the anchors. This position is not remote, and the ability to work in our office is necessary.
Job responsibilities include:
Editing video for daily news coverageTaking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizationsCollaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscastsMeeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
HS degree and experience editingKnowledge of Avid editing technology is a plusAbility to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment
