Position Overview:

The Alumni & Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Admissions team to assist with developing and strengthening relationships with alumni, increasing alumni participation in events and referrals, and implementing online marketing strategies through social media accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote the alumni program to clients currently in treatment; run groups and actively participate in activities.

Maintain close contact with alumni through telephone calls, emails, and text messages to help increase contact success rates that will improve outcomes.

Gather information surrounding the recovery process of each alumni while providing support to those who may be struggling, need help meeting life challenges, and celebrating life successes.

Ensure all aspects of contact with alumni are documented.

Attend networking opportunities.

Help recruit speakers for Alumni Meetings and, at times, the Outpatient Program.

Market all alumni events, workshops, and programs via phone, email, and text messages.

Travel to and act as a liaison at alumni events and workshops when needed.

Actively participate in alumni events.

Research audience preferences and discover current trends.

Create engaging text, image, and video content.

Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products.

Measure web traffic and monitor SEO.

Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries.

Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans.

Follow the posting schedule as outlined in addendum A, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.

Skills:

Computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).

Proficiency with Social Media Applications including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Sound understanding of marketing principles.

Effective understanding of the latest technologies and how to apply them in marketing.

Work collaboratively and effectively as a team member.

Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.

Effectively communicate and utilize interpersonal skills.

Deliver creative and innovative thoughts regarding brand expansion.

Proven writing and editing skills; all public communications should be clear, well-written, and precisely targeted to the audience.

Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Drug and Alcohol counseling certificate: RAS, CAS, CADC, CATS, CDC, CAADAC, NAADAC, or any other license or credentials relating to chemical dependency.

Marketing experience is preferred.

Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects.

Maintain current certification for this position: CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention.
