Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an AIRC Program Management Lead supporting the Acquisition Policy & Innovation Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment) (OUSD(A&S)). In this pivotal role, you will provide critical administrative and management support to the Director of the Acquisition Innovation Research Center (AIRC), overseeing an annual mission valued at approximately $5M.Your responsibilities will include coordinating and executing program management tools and processes, tracking key tasks, and providing executive oversight to ensure the successful implementation of AIRC programs, pilots, and projects. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to prepare briefings, reports, and updates for Defense senior leaders and Congressional staff.In addition to these core duties, you will:Coordinate data accessibility for research purposes and ensure research outcomes are effectively communicated to stakeholders and senior leaders.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly updates, verbal and written, on the status of proposed, pending, and active AIRC tasks, communications, required legislative actions, issues, and projects.Produce an annual electronic Compendium of AIRC projects, highlighting project objectives, methodologies, and results.Support the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of an annual project symposium to bring together Defense Acquisition leaders and Academia to solicit, assess, and select proposed new projects for research.Monitor project requests for alignment with DoD priorities and recommend appropriate actions to the Director, AIRC.Support the planning and execution of project symposiums and meetings to foster collaboration between Defense Acquisition leaders and academia.QualificationsRequired Experience & Skills5 years of experience and a MA degree OR 8 years experience and a BA degree.Program Management Experience.Understanding of UARC and FFRDC Management.Able to effectively brief Flag Officers, General Officers, Senior Executive Service members.At least two years experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Explorer, Edge, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.Desired Skills & ExperienceExperience with Adobe Acrobat Professional, A&S Intranet and SharePoint sites, DoD Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).Experience developing and maintaining SOPs.
