The good news? We’ve just finished the first milestone in turning tech-artists.org into a legal nonprofit! This is going to help ensure the stability and longevity of the site and the community.The bad news? We’ve only got a couple of months of hosting left. Plus, if we want to get full tax-exempt status – which will make it easier for us to do things like get discount hosting for our online chat, or offer educational programs – we need to raise about the equivalent of a full year’s hosting costs to cover the IRS filing fees.So … how about hitting the tech-art tipjar to help keep the site up and healthy?Familiar with programming or Unreal Engine blueprints;Provide technical support to the design team, assisting with workflow, software and tools;Design/optimize and implement elements that are more complex, more abstract or more technically challenging and which impact the entire game;Work with internal teams to generate ideas for proposals and improvements;Collaboration with developers, design team and stakeholders;Maintain projects and communicate clear delivery dates;Participate in design reviews, team meetings, brainstorming sessions;Constantly educate company on technical solutions and why we go by this directionGame asset development and game environment building that include architectural and interior design;Prepare source files for development and supervise implemented graphic;Complete work prior to deadline;Advanced animations.Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves and other absences. Replacement takes place during working time, and it is not considered as additional work;Report to direct manager.Work with modelers and programmers to create 3D art and bring it into the engine.Perform other duties, as asked by the manager.Provide hands-on support to artists and engineers in regard to asset performance and validationReview creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvementsDevelop 3D art pipeline tools and extensions with an eye towards usability and efficiencySolve challenging technical issues in the 3D asset pipelineCollaborate with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problemsInspire and empower the art team to optimize their processesDevelopment and integration the process automation of the art departmentProcess and technology documentationQUALIFICATIONSSecondary (higher, special etc.) educationAdvanced English language, both verbal and written.Professional or bachelor’s degree in design/multimediaUp to 4 years of professional experience in game developmentKnowledge modelling and art tools (3d’s Max/ Maya/ Houdini/ Blender/ Zbrush/ Corona Render/Adobe Suite tool etc.)Knowledge of game engines (Unreal Engine/Unity/Babylon etc.)Solid understanding of art and animation pipelinesExcellent interpersonal skills in dealing with differences between creative and technical teamsAbility to work independently or as part of a team;Ability to work under tight deadlines;Ability to provide actionable feedback;Ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and others;Creative thinking, problem-solving, passion and attention to details;Ability to work with technical documentation;Understanding of gaming.
