Strategic Communications Specialist (Entry-level)

to support various commercial energy projects in a dynamic environmental consulting environment. This position involves strategic communications, public outreach, environmental justice, and community engagement, with a focus on energy infrastructure projects. Spanish language skills are preferred.Location:

Denver, CO (In-person, Hybrid, and Remote options available)Your Role:Implement community engagement and stakeholder relations activities.Assist in developing strategic communications materials for energy infrastructure projects, simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences.Research, compile, and analyze public and stakeholder information to aid in strategy development and create public-facing materials.Translate content from English to Spanish.Collaborate with team members for in-person and virtual public meetings and stakeholder meetings.Assist in creating digital and printed materials, ensuring consistency with client brand standards.Review deliverables for grammar, style, tone, and branding.Prepare presentations and meeting materials, and coordinate logistics.Maintain project websites and track the effectiveness of strategic communications approaches.Support the development and production of business proposals and cost estimates.Direct vendors and subcontractors in producing strategic communications materials.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Public Relations, Political Science, or Journalism preferred.Other disciplines or directly applicable experience considered.1-2 years of relevant work experience.Demonstrated ability to write for diverse audiences.Understanding of strategic communications concepts and best practices.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Ability to act independently, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.Understanding of content management systems (e.g., WordPress).Willingness to travel locally or occasionally nationally as needed (less than 10%).Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) a plus.Understanding of energy infrastructure projects and utility-scale energy systems a plus.Spanish-speaking skills are strongly preferred.A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.Compensation:Salary commensurate with experience. Salary Range: $54,000 - $65,000 yr.Pay Range

- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.Tetra Tech offers medical, workers compensation insurance, and 401(k).
