The Performance Reporting division at the Texas Education Agency seeks to ensure continuous improvement in the academic achievement of all Texas public school students by 1) developing and implementing transparent, rigorous, and fair academic accountability systems, 2) providing accurate and comprehensive academic performance reporting systems, tools, and trackers, and 3) monitoring and validating data to ensure the integrity of these systems.The Accountability Communications Coordinator reports to the Director of Policy and Communications in the Performance Reporting Division. The coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing communication strategies that ensure transparency, consistency, and effectiveness in accountability practices. This role is also responsible for supporting schools and improving student outcomes by ensuring that the state school accountability system is clearly and accurately communicated. This role involves liaising between various stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, to promote clear understanding and adherence to accountability policies and procedures. The Accountability Communications Coordinator provides accountability-related leadership, guidance, and resources to help schools meet the educational needs of all students.Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.Please note that a resume, tailored cover letter, and short answer responses are required attachments for applying to this position. Job duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned.Division Correspondence Deliverables:

Prepares, edits, and communicates Official Performance Reporting Notifications/ Division correspondence including Gov Delivery Notifications, TAAs, and Weekly Bulletins specific to updates, releases, accountability topics, etc.Division Customer Service:

Prepares, edits, and communicates responses to the Performance Reporting Inbox and voicemails by researching, asking additional questions, and providing accurate resources verified by quality checks to address the various inquiries (including program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public).Policy and Communications Team Support:

Supporting Policy & Communications work including, but not limited to, training, research, explanatory materials, the appeals process.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications• Education:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university• Experience:

At least four (4) years of experience in public school accountability, technical writing, or in working with a program that required outreach, training, and ensuring the understanding of the program by its stakeholders.• Substitutions:
