The System Firmware & Diagnostics organization is seeking a full stack web developer to help build advanced tooling and automation for the Hardware Engineering organization. The organization is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our products during manufacturing and ensuring their quality. Sitting at the intersection of where software meets hardware, this role provides a unique opportunity to help shape the software that builds Apple hardware, software, and services.DescriptionThe Full Stack Web Developer will work in a cross-functional role, helping design and build the infrastructure and tools that serve multiple teams across the company. In addition to supporting the existing systems, you'll have the opportunity to help solve problems by bringing up brand new applications and designing them from the ground up. This role is ideal for those who are full-stack developers and like to be involved in every step of the process and a passion for building tools that help users.Minimum Qualifications3+ years software development experience designing and building complex, highly available, large scale web applications.Experience with API usage and development using REST and/or GraphQL.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent practical experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in web analytics, accessibility, standards, and security.Strong understanding of TypeScript and the latest ECMAScript standards.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for development, testing, and deployment of applications.Familiarity with messaging platforms like Kafka.Experience designing and publishing Python libraries using the latest PEP best practices.Proficient in software development best practices, including version control with Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.Ability to collaborate effectively with teams located in different locations.Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
