LexisNexis RiskAbout Our TeamThe LexisNexis Risk Solutions Insurance Events Team falls within the Global Insurance Marketing Team. This highly collaborative team consists of senior marketing leaders and marketing managers representing the US, UK and China (10%) with responsibilities ranging from brand advocacy to customer acquisition and retention to cross-sell/upsell, as well as industry thought leadership, event marketing, market research, internal/executive communications and employee training/education programs.About The RoleThe Marketing Event Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing events (e.g., trade shows, conventions, meetings) for internal and/or external clients. This role will be responsible for specific events in which they will own all aspects of event logistics end-to-end and will collaborate with colleagues on other events. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, high performing marketing team supporting a high-growth advanced analytics and data technology business to promote solutions that improve and protect lives. The successful candidate will work closely with team members to manage the entire event/tradeshow lifecycle, from invitations and registration, venue research and booking to budgeting and event performance. This role will collaborate closely with stakeholders across functional areas to achieve revenue and profit targets for assigned solutions.ResponsibilitiesOrganizing and executing event deliverables and tactics, specifically as it relates to participation in external trade shows and conventionsCollaborating with stakeholders to analyze event marketing effectiveness versus objectivesOffering innovative ideas, strategies and approaches and continuous process improvementManaging influencing and communicating about event budgets and work with marketing partners to track and analyze expendituresReporting marketing results per initiative and across the team for each eventDemonstrating professionalism and high ethical standards as a representative for the brand and the marketing department with both external and internal stakeholdersWorking independently to meet deadlines while coordinating with and soliciting input on materials from colleaguesResolving complex problems where precedence may not exist; has the ability to operate with some ambiguityCompleting other duties as assigned such as support for large industry and companywide eventsRequirementsHave a 4-year college degree ideally in Marketing or BusinessHave a minimum of 5-8 years event experience required; tradeshow experience most idealAble to travel, up to 25% of timePossess exceptional experience with event management tools, such as Cvent, SmartSheet, event management softwareBe highly competent in project management and organization with ability to handle multiple projects/deadlinesDemonstrate a good attention to detail; carefully manages budgets and tracks expensesBe a critical thinker and problem solverDemonstrate skills in being an influential communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skillsHave experience being highly collaborative and gains support by building relationships with key stakeholdersHave experience working in a matrix environment with multiple internal and external partnersAble to demonstrate skills in being a self-starter and passionate with exceptional bias towards driving resultsLearn more about the LexisNexis Risk team and how we work here.
