Some questions we’re working on answering right now are:How might we fully assist those spearheading movements?What resources do petitioners and signers visiting our site need?How might we assist people in celebrating, motivating and helping others?Change.org is searching for a Lead Designer with a masterful knowledge of, and passion for, user experience and product development processes to work within one of our multidisciplinary product teams. You will drive all aspects of the user experience, partnering with other product heads to conceive, design, and implement the strategy for your product team. We are looking for someone who is great at UX, testing, processes and accessibility and has a passion for expanding our platform to mobilize hundreds of millions of people to take deeper civic action.Key Outcomes:Influence the creation and development of the user experience, feeding directly into the product strategy for your product teamCreate simple, delightful experiences for our usersCreate prototypes and conduct experiments to iteratively test your hypothesesUse and evolve our design system and guidelines to create new features from ideas to implementationApply accessibility standards and guidelines to your designsCollaborate with product managers and engineers to create product plans and maintain product design processesThe most important attributes for the role are:Aptitude for communicating design goals and processes clearly and concisely to other team members and stakeholdersHave a strong creative vision and the propensity to switch easily from blue sky ideation to tactical thinkingWilling to provide constructive feedback to other designers and welcome feedback from othersContinually seeking opportunities to grow your knowledge and learn from othersTarget experience:8+ years of design experienceExperience with mobile app design and developmentExperience with evaluative and generative research methods, and collaborating with UX researchers, to build a deeper awareness of audience behaviorsExperience generating future ideas while tactically delivering work in the presentExperience crafting compelling stories that persuade team members and stakeholders to adopt their ideasInterested? Here's what you should know:This is a full time role, and while we strongly prefer folks living in the US Pacific Timezone, we will consider candidates across all US time zones (including Canada).We’re currently able to hire staff based in the following US locations: AZ, CA, GA, IA, MD, MA, MO, NJ, NY, NC, PA, RI, TX, VT, WA.Change.org is a global company, and salaries are adjusted for cost of labor in each location. The annual salary of a Lead Product Designer is $200,000 in SF/NYC, $190,000 in Austin/Boston/LA/Seattle and is $170,000 in all other US cities. The salary for Canada is $167,500 CAD.Benefits and perks also vary based on location.
