This individual will leverage various UX design and research methodologies to design experiences with purpose that help users achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for design, continually learning and growing, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as an attention to detail. The candidate will support multiple related products across mediums (web/iOS/Android) with the support of the UX team.Note: We will also consider senior-level candidates (with more than 3 years of experience) for a senior-level role.Opportunity HighlightsTake on projects that support the UX Design team goals in efforts across the companyAdvocate for design solutions, highlighting inputs that influenced the decisions including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findingsWork alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycleQuickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through detailsSupport Product Managers to assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research and assessing performance metricsPresent design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedbackKnowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities3+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar roleBachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or 5+ years equivalent professional experienceA portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutionsBe a good communicator all around, who can present their ideas to stakeholders and executivesBe able to engage in constructive dialogue based on the merit of the design, both giving and receiving; no egos need to be involvedContinued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies (preferred that this is a natural part of who you are)Take responsibility for your own work, knowing that you'll be supportedProficiency in best practices for web/iOS/Android information architecture and designContribute to the group’s shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologiesExperience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designsKnow when to collaborate with other members of your teamExperience working in an Agile environmentAbility to work in a startup environmentExperience designing and shipping products for mobile and desktopProficient with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, etc.At Medifast, Relationships Are At The Center Of What We Do!We thrive by elevating our connections with one another as well as with our Coaches & Clients.
