Together, we are building a better tomorrow for our customers, partners and communities.Position Overview:The Product Marketing Manager will create and execute product marketing plans for Built-In Cooking products (Wall Oven, Cooktop, Range Hood), including go-to-market schedules, demand generation campaigns, and materials (e.g., project schedules, core messaging, packaging, promotional, and point-of-purchase advertising). Drives achievement of Built-In Cooking KPIs such as revenue, margin, profitability, and market share objectives. Collaborates with sales and supply chain teams to ensure optimum inventory-to-sales forecast ratios and is primarily responsible for forecasting for assigned products. Supports sales account teams, marketing teams, internal financial teams, and the Korean-based Product Planning organization (HQ). Pitches product line-up features and strategy at key customer meetings and events.Role And ResponsibilitiesCreates and executes product marketing plans for the Built-In Cooking category to meet KPIsDevelops go-to-market strategies, including pricing, distribution, product mix, and promotional recommendationsLineup management – Supports, manages, or directs the management of Built-In Cooking lineup activities and initiatives targeted at driving operational efficiency or responding to market challengesLaunch management – Supports and oversees all new product launch activities that contribute to the achievement of new product target volume and profit objectives, and collaborates with Demand Generation and Sales teams in developing launch schedulesPrice administration – Supports, manages, or directs the management of pricing strategies by product and by segment and manages promotional roadmap for assigned products to drive sales, market share, and to ensure that market forecasts are achievedSales and P&L Analysis – Analyzes sales forecasts and monitors sales and marketing investments as needed for maintaining accurate target plans and inventory balance and for achieving business P&L goalsForecasting and Inventory Monitoring and Optimization – Prepares and owns forecasts for assigned categories, collaborates with supply chain, sales, and customers to ensure appropriate inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle, and timely end-of-life (EOL) strategiesAdjusts product marketing activities as needed throughout the product's lifecycle to eliminate sell-in / sell-through bottlenecks and excess or aged inventoryTracks weekly product sales data by account and by SKU to manage forecasts and resolve sales challenges (e.g., recommends pricing adjustments, suggests removal of product from floor, provides retailers with data-driven recommendations on which models to promote)Collaborates with sales teams and customers to understand customer Built-In Cooking strategies and challenges, and in general to provide the marketing support needed for successful sellingConducts sales and supply chain meetings, develops weekly forecasts, and confirms the sales estimates essential for achieving supply chain efficiency and appropriate inventory levelsWorks with demand generation group to develop promotional content (e.g., presentations, merchandising storyboards, website content, product spec sheets, and product use collateral)Works with Training team to create training material for sales associatesPitches product line-up features and strategy at key customer meetings and eventsConducts competitive market analysis using various systems as well as online researchSkills And QualificationsExperience Required:Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required6+ years employment in product management or product marketing; managing Built-In Cooking categories a plusExperience in supporting (e.g., sales, customer support, supply chain) a product or technology in consumer electronics or B2BHas worked successfully in a global, complex, matrixed environmentAbility to build strong work relationships with cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with high attention to detail.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Sales analytics and Inventory analysis experience a plusAt Samsung, we believe that innovation and growth are driven by an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce.
