The Opportunity:

As a Senior Product Designer on the SkyBox / B2B team, you’ll have the ability to make a massive impact as an owner of the user experience for our ticket sellers. You’ll have a direct hand in connecting fans to their favorite team, band, or artist by helping ticket sellers list more tickets, for cheaper, to more events our fans want. You'll have autonomy to improve our experience on a product that drives $Billions in orders and manages and sells millions of tickets each year. Unlike typical B2B roles, this team moves fast and has direct access to our users (some will sit across the desk from you!). This position is embedded on the B2B squad where you’ll be supported by a fully staffed team, partner with your product manager, and have visibility with exec as we grow our product together.

How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:

Set the direction of the product alongside your product manager and engineering manager.Uncover and explore the most important user problems to focus on by running user research.Help set priorities using a combination of user research and quantitative data.Create useful, friendly, and effective interfaces for thousands of daily small and large business users.Help the squad and the business make decisions that improve the depth and breadth of our inventory and business services.Be a mentor to a growing team of designers by improving our design process, while setting a high bar in defining “great design.”Most importantly, be curious and motivated to make an impact on your product, your team, and your users.

How your role expectations will progress as a Sr Product Designer in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

30 days in:Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful.Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.Develop basic understanding of our design system, product tech stacks, and the team process.Sit with our B2B sellers, engulfing you in their day-to-day and how they use your product.

90 days in:Contribute to the design team norms, establishing yourself as a key contributor to team feedback and development.Be an active participant with your design pair, learning their product space and supporting their work.You’ll have designed out your first project, collaborating with the engineers and product manager to launch it.Provide detailed feedback to your manager about how to improve the team, and where you see possible areas to focus.

180 days in:You’ll be a true owner of the problem space.You’ll have started, and received multiple rounds of feedback on a major, company-wide project.Not only will you have a list of “big questions” that you’re curious about, but you’ll have some of them answered.A strong understanding of our key business metrics and what levers we have to influence them.You’ll have implemented key tactics to improve the design team.You'll have run multiple rounds of user interviews and user research to define key problems to solve.
