Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for design requirements in support of NASA exhibits and events related to a portfolio of programs under NASA’s Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OHRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasksTypically reports to a SupervisorMay direct the efforts of others in a team lead roleResponsible for design/graphic requirements in support of NASA exhibits and eventsResponsible for ensuring design/graphic activities take into account aesthetics, targeted audience(s), and NASA theme(s) and message(s)Responsible for reporting to customers on exhibit concepts and design requirementsResponsible for production of construction documentation and fabrication; preparation and design of mechanical art/digital files; and other graphic tasksDuties include operating a large format printer, laminator, vinyl cutter, and engraverResponsible for generating routine and/or ad-hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customersDuties include directly interfacing with OCOMM management and/or OCOMM customersQualificationsBachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or universityTen (10) years of relevant experienceAdvanced oral and written communicationsAdvanced writing and editingAdvanced problem-solving skillsMay be required to undergo a standard background check along with verification of education requirements
