Nisga'a Tek ensures mission assurance and execution for customers and warfighters, providing intelligence, IT, cyber security, training, logistics, administrative, acquisition, and background investigation services.Summary:Goldbelt Nisga’a NTEK is looking for an Instructional Designer to support the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA) contract. It supports the health and performance of Service members through medical training, preventive medicine, enhanced performance, and clinical currency for readiness activities in Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) on Air Force and Space Force installations and other Department of the Air Force (DAF) medical units.Responsibilities:Provide instructional design and curriculum development support.Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop lesson objectives in IAW Department of Defense (DoD) instructional systems design guidance, categorize objectives by learning type (using Bloom’s taxonomy), construct learning analysis hierarchies, identify learning prerequisite/requirements, review/revise existing instructional materials, develop test items, determine instructional strategies, select instructional methods, select instructional media, analyze resource requirements/constraints, design/develop lessons, design/develop job aids, design/develop activity guides, design/develop distributive learning products, evaluate instructional effectiveness, and develop plan of instructions.May be required to work in a cooperative nature with military and federal employees, as well as other Contractors in support of AFMRA/SG4’s ongoing training and personnel development efforts including requests for additional data analyses, development of new survey questions, course development (curriculum change, course planning, instructional design, etc.), and analysis and reporting on special interest topics.Identifying training gaps in the field through surveys and site visits and developing training platforms to fill identified gaps.Provide training and support in compliance with Air Force standards/guidance.Submit curriculum, which includes documents and presentations, that demonstrates strong graphic and written communication skills to include superior editing and proofreading skills.Apply recognized instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles for on-demand learning.Manage entire project life cycles, starting with in-depth research of best practices from the field, writing and developing results-driven training content, and overseeing the production of high-quality materials.Enhance deliverables by creating high-impact, real-world case studies, exercises, graphics, and job aids.Present design and project plans to Content Strategy team and Brand leadership for collaborative development.Qualifications:Necessary Skills and Knowledge:Ability to recognize and work with U.S. Government, Department of Defense (DOD), and Air Force language idiosyncrasies.Knowledge of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.Knowledge of techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.Ability to understand technical content, communicate well with subject matter experts and translate technical content to non-technical staff.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations, facilitate meetings, and transfer knowledge of training intent to others.Strong editing skills, creative ability and technical expertise are strong plusses.Highly detail oriented.Ability and willingness to work independently.A deep level of understanding of adult learning theory, specifically the modern learner, along with industry leading methodologies and technology.Exceptional standards of excellence in all aspects of work.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal presentation skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.Must be able to effectively employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of collaborators.Strong organization & time management skills to handle many tasks at once for effective project planning and management.Proven collaboration & influencing skills.High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, InDesign, Illustrator).Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, education, communication or other related field required.5 - 7 years’ experience in:Software and/or technical curriculum development.Course design for synchronous and asynchronous instructor-led.Computer-based, and web-based training, including blended learning programs.Experience with the study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.Must also have a minimum of 1 year of specialized experience that demonstrates the following areas of expertise:Developing or evaluating curriculum for a Department of Defense (DoD) formal education or training program.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with military and/or military intelligence (MI) terminology preferred but not required.The salary range for this position is $56,250.00 -
